Digital Guard

Real-time GPS monitoring that watches your vessel around the clock. The moment your boat drifts beyond its assigned swing radius, the harbor crew and your phone receive an immediate alert — day or night, whether you're aboard or thousands of miles away.

Availability: Digital Guard is not sold as a standalone service. It is included in Guardian Residency and available as an add-on to the Recurring Boat Watch plan and the Cruise-In bundle.

How It Works

  1. 📡
Your tracker pings every 60 seconds The GPS device installed on your vessel sends a position update to our servers over the cellular network every minute while at rest, and every 10 seconds when motion is detected.
  2. 📐
We calculate your swing radius Each mooring spot has a calibrated swing radius set by our operations crew based on your vessel's length, chain scope, and tide range. A 15-metre safety buffer absorbs normal GPS drift.
  3. ⚠️
A breach triggers instant alerts If your vessel crosses the geo-fence threshold, the harbor crew receives a WhatsApp alert, you receive a WhatsApp message and a push notification on your phone — all within 60 seconds of the drift.
  4. Auto-resolves when you return Once your vessel is back within the safe zone, the breach closes automatically. If the breach persists for 30 minutes, a second escalation alert is sent to ensure crew response.

Where to Purchase

Digital Guard supports Teltonika compact GPS trackers, including the FMB920 family and current regional variants such as FMC920 for 4G and FMM920 for LTE-M / M1 connectivity, when compatible. FMB930 and FMB910 may also be suitable current basic tracker models depending on vessel setup, cellular coverage, SIM availability, and firmware requirements.

Before purchase, Luperon12 confirms the current recommended model, cellular-band compatibility, SIM requirements, firmware compatibility, and vendor source. Owners should purchase through Teltonika official sales/support or an authorized regional distributor, not a random marketplace listing. A Claro DR SIM or other approved local data plan is required for local cellular connectivity.

Teltonika Official — Product Page & Distributor Locator Specs, firmware downloads, and links to authorized distributors. Use the distributor locator on this page to find verified regional sources, including Miami-area stock for DR delivery.
Confirm before ordering Hardware revisions, regional cellular bands, firmware versions, and SIM compatibility all affect whether a device will work on the Luperon12 network. The harbor team confirms the exact model and vendor source before you order — at no charge.
SIM Card Note: A Claro DR SIM card with an active data plan is required for local cellular connectivity. The harbor crew can assist with purchasing and activating a SIM upon your arrival in Luperon.

Setup Instructions

  1. 1
Source a compatible Teltonika GPS tracker Contact the harbor team first — they will confirm the current recommended model (FMB920 family or compatible regional variant), vendor source, and cellular-band requirements before you order. Purchase through Teltonika official sales/support or an authorized regional distributor.
  2. 2
Obtain a Claro DR SIM card with data plan A local Claro DR SIM card is required for cellular connectivity in Luperon. The harbor crew can assist with purchasing and activating a SIM upon your arrival — no need to arrange this in advance.
  3. 3
Mount the tracker on the vessel The tracker connects to your vessel's DC power supply. Exact voltage range and wiring requirements depend on the specific approved model — the harbor crew confirms this from the model manual before installation. You do not need to wire anything yourself.
  4. 4
Crew configures geo-fence parameters The operations crew calibrates the geo-fence based on your assigned mooring position and your vessel's swing radius. This accounts for chain scope, tide range, and a safety buffer for normal GPS drift.
  5. 5
Confirm first GPS ping in the Digital Guard dashboard Within minutes of installation your vessel's position appears in the portal dashboard. The crew confirms the first successful ping with you directly — you are live.
  6. 6
Alerts route to all channels automatically Once live, breach alerts are dispatched simultaneously to: WhatsApp (crew), WhatsApp (owner), and push notification (app). No additional configuration is needed on your end.

Included With Guardian Residency

Digital Guard is a core component of the Guardian Residency bundle. Alert dispatch and dashboard access are included at no additional cost beyond the Guardian Residency rate.

We do not supply GPS tracker hardware, nor do we provide cellular data. Guardian Residency residents source their own compatible device and SIM. The harbor crew assists in securing both at no additional charge — including vendor guidance, model confirmation, SIM activation support, device configuration, and physical installation.

Once your device is live on the network, all ongoing alert dispatch, geo-fence calibration, and dashboard access are managed by the harbor operations team as part of your residency.
