Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking your managed mooring residency at Luperon 12.
Key terms
What vessel types does Luperon 12 accept?
We accept monohulls and catamarans up to 65 feet LOA. All multihulls require a prior mooring review to confirm beam compatibility and mooring load requirements, and incur a 25 percent surcharge on the base mooring rate. Contact us before booking if you have a catamaran or trimaran.
How does the arrival process work?
Our crew monitors VHF Channel 68 and meets every arriving vessel at the channel markers for a professional yola escort to your assigned mooring position. No unassisted approaches. Call us on VHF 68 before you reach the channel entrance.
How do you monitor vessels during absentee periods?
The Digital Guard system provides 24/7 GPS geo-fence monitoring. Any movement beyond safe parameters triggers an immediate alert to the harbor crew. Crew dispatch and owner notification follow within minutes, not hours.
What is the Hurricane Protocol?
All Guardian residency vessels are included in our Hurricane Protocol. Pre-season inspection and hardware testing in April and May. Watch phase notification when a named storm forms. Warning phase securing with additional lines and gear removal. Active phase crew standby with position monitoring. Post-storm vessel inspection within 24 hours of all-clear.
What deposits and payments are required?
Daily stays are paid in full at booking. Longer residency terms may require a deposit or staged payment schedule as shown during checkout. Final payment terms are confirmed in the secure booking portal before payment. We accept bank transfer and major cards. See the full pricing breakdown for mooring terms, bundles, and service rates.
How do you communicate with absentee owners?
Monthly inspection reports with photos are sent to every Guardian owner. WhatsApp updates for any maintenance work or service requests. Immediate alerts for any vessel movement beyond geo-fence parameters or weather events above threshold. All communication is logged in the client portal.
What is the minimum stay?
90 days for both Guardian and Cruise-In residency levels. This is a managed residency, not a transient mooring field. The minimum commitment ensures proper vessel onboarding, inspection baselines, and maintenance scheduling.
What is the difference between managed mooring and a standard marina?
A standard marina rents you a slip or mooring and the relationship ends there. Luperon 12 is a managed residency. We monitor your vessel position, inspect your mooring hardware, document maintenance, communicate proactively with owners, and execute a practiced hurricane protocol. The mooring is the starting point, not the entire service.
What services are available during residency?
Guardian residency includes inspections, monitoring, wash-downs, and hurricane protocol. Additional services available on request include provisioning, fuel delivery, bottom cleaning, mechanical repair coordination, hauling coordination, and concierge support. All additional services are billed at cost plus a published service fee.
How do I request service during residency?
WhatsApp the crew directly or submit a request through the client portal. Response time for standard requests is within 24 hours. Emergency requests receive immediate crew dispatch.
What happens when I depart?
Final vessel inspection with condition documentation. Handover report generated and sent to owner. Yola escort to the channel on departure. Mooring position is released and made available for the next resident.
What if my plans change after booking?
Cancellation terms depend on the selected stay type and payment schedule. Any applicable deposit, credit, or refund rule is shown during booking and in the residency agreement. Contact us directly to discuss schedule changes.
